Standing in front of a 120-year-old house, how do you consider the functional and historic trajectory? The architect chose to add a new design in the form of carpentry and used old cement technology to enhance the original structure. The team believes that it is impossible to blindly replace the old and must take into account the traditional spirit of the original building and meet the needs of the residents. The walls and ceilings were removed inside, the old and new middle layers were stacked with simple red bricks, while the original mosaic tiles remained uniformly, staggered wooden floors. Through the above two methods create the division of spheres and layers of space.

In order to integrate discrete and outdated patterns, the hall compartments were removed and the corridor design, designed to be spacious and transparent, so that long and narrow patterns could be connected through light, successfully reversing the dark atmosphere of the old apartment.
